Until 2025, the branch’s main STEM activity was co-hosting Sonia Kovalesky Day at an area college each fall. Sonia Kovalesky Day is a nationwide initiative for girls in grades 9-12 to encourage them to continue studying Mathematics. With the current anti-DEI federal guidelines, this activity has been cancelled.

Pictured above are some of the 150 girls from fifteen schools who attended Sonia Kovalesky Day 2022, which was hosted by the University of Wisconsin-Superior. Branch members helped register students and the branch funded several sessions.
